what once was mine
There comes a time to just say stop
There are some things that can’t be bought
Simple tasks can gain a lot
Finding things that once were lost
  Little dolls with porcelain skin
  Puppets that cannot defend
One with glass and one with strings
  Suspended from the smallest things
  Foreign hands that don’t belong
Trusted promises that don’t last long
Moving on we tear the veil
  Shaking down and raising hell
  Moving forward, not glancing behind
Taking back what once was mine
