Darkness
I look in the mirror
and hate what I see
I look for the darkness
That is within me
Cause only darkness would tell
The truth of the tale
But if the darkness has falter
If the darkness does fail?
Well then you are left
With this singular fact
That you are the darkness
That you pretended to enact
You can’t blame a problem
That doesn’t exist
You can’t say it’s hopeless
When you’ve got nothing to fix
When you know that there’s truly
Nothing left in play
You can finally face
That you are to blame
No villain to hide behind
No mask of denial
Open your eyes
And stand up for the trial
Realize the truth
That you simply can’t hide
You’re a monster. A villain
So you sat in the dark. You sat and cried.

This poem is about trying to balme your faults on something that doesnt exist and coming to terms with the fact that you are the monster that you swore you'd never become.
