when inspiration strikes
I feel that when inspiration strikes
It takes hold of your mind and soul,
Grips your imagination tight,
And spews new ideas until your mind is full.
But when inspiration is gone
There’s not much you can do
To convince it to turn itself back on
And again make an artist out of you.
Recently, I have been struck
With a creativity and a will to write.
No longer do my words get stuck,
No longer do my ideas fight.
I write poems every single night
And draw for more than four hours.
So far, there’s no end in sight
So I’ll just continue painting my flowers.
