Tick-Marks
Was it you
That made me pay
For something so dark
It could have been grey
Was it you
That silenced me
With one pointed finger
Out on your spree
Was it you
That was behind the mask
So tight it was choking
The regret as you asked
Was it you
That had an unsteady finger
Very tense and skinny
All the while you lingerd
Was it you
That lifted my head to watch
Ignoring my silent rasps
Your buddies were on a deathwatch
Was it you
That bound me up in rope
Made me speak words
Handed in an envelope
Was it you
That walked out of the store
Blood on your hands
Something I payed for
Was it you
That told them to leave
To let me sit there
So they would be deceived
Was it you
That played as witness
Although you were the doer
You were all business
Was it you
That reported it altogether; the crime
To the FBI
And made me do the time
It was you
Because I recognize your voice
As you told me
It was never my choice
It was you
Because I recognize your face
Although behind a mask
It still had a familiar trace
It was you
Because of your finger
How you looked at me
How it lingered
It was you
Because you told them to leave me
But made me pay still
For what my eyes has seen
It was you
That made me pay
For something so dark
It could have been grey
Don't blame me
When I finish my sentence
I will come after you
With all of my vengeance
You have made me pay
For something your hands had done
You have walked away
Although I was your little one
You will get your turn
For I have gotten mine
I have become tough
And you WILL do your time
And as the Tick-Marks keep adding up
I will remember what was once your love
And every Tick-Mark that will be added
Is one more target that will be lasted

Have you have ever had someone betray you? Throw you under the bus? Decieve you? What did it feel like when you payed their price? It felt like Betryal.
