Lullaby
Sweet dear,
I want you to know
That you are not alone.
Seat yourself to find me always near.
Dear whenever you’re feeling down,
Just call out for my name,
And I’ll respond the same;
Near me, I can reassure you now.
Down somewhere in our memory,
There existed a door I’d ask you to knock;
Today you have the keys, so come unlock.
Now I just wait for you in my reverie.
Memory keeps taking me to the past
When we were together and carefree.
It was a time that lacked reality.
Reverie is now where we’ll meet at last.
Past your sight lays wonderful dreams,
So just close your eyes,
And entitle me worthy to collect your cries.
Last, come see our creation of glistening streams.
Dreams filled with vast chrysanthemum fields,
Running with the golden lions,
Singing with the voice of the seductive sirens,
Streams of beauty no one dares to conceal,
Fields I’ll contain with everything sweet—
Allow me to ease your pain from all the harms
And grant you a haven in my arms.
Conceal yourself once you take a seat.
For nothing is more beautiful
Than one who is at peace.
So sit comfortably under the sheets,
And let me teleport you to the land of dreams.

I wanted to write something for those who miss and long for their mothers. Those who wish they could return to her arms and be embraced by her warmth. This is for those who cry themselves to sleep at night. For those who wish they had more control of their lives. Those who are hurting and feel alone. Those who no longer wish to feel empty. Those... who are afraid to continue dreaming. This is for you.
