my body
Trust me,why don't you just trust me ,
Haven't we heard that before,
What happens when I trust you?
Do you risk the same trusting me,
as I do trusting you?
For you it's a congratulations,
and a pat on the back.
For me its shame,
hatred and lectures.
How is that fair?
Often I’m compared as a crumpled piece of paper,
or an old flower, used tape.
But what are your comparisons?
You have none.
I am used and seen for my body,
Yet I am judged for it?
Well I say,
I’m more than my body.
