Up and Left
your own self esteem is what you were worried about
it wasn't me
or my plea or it to stop
it wasn't the fact that you knew you were gonna get caught
but sometimes i wish that it were
im sure
you didn't mean to hurt me
i hope you didn't want to leave me behind once again

This is just a small part of my song Up and Left, it is from the album I'm currently working on called Letters. This album is one that is about a big part of my life, and who I am as a person. Along with who I am becoming, and who I will be if I ever happen to become a parent. Most of the pieces within this album are about my dad, who has a history of getting himself incarcerated. The majority of titles in the album are about my journey in learning that it isn't my fault he left, nor should I think that it is.
