Unchained
I want to be free
away from all the boxes and the strings
Stressed from all the hard work
Suffocating
I wonder how life will go
I wanna break through all the walls and frame
and scream out loud what’s deep inside
I’ll take both my wings and burn across the skyline
I don’t know where I’ll go and my destiny
I guess it’s fine that I don’t know who I’ll be
Try to lock me in this cage
I won’t just give it up go ahead and cry
This is my life
It isn’t anything you can decide
If I fall down I’ll stand back up again
although I might break down and die
I don’t care if that’s what it takes on my way
I don’t care what’s written down in books and history
I want to show the world
this is what I can be
I understand that I should’t run for nothing but
I really don’t wanna think about who I’ll be
who I’ll be
I don’t care what’s written down in books and history
I wanna show the world
this is what I can be
I wanna show the world
this is what I can be

I wrote this song when I was in 9th grade. I was feeling caged in and wanted to express my desire to break free. It was a liberating experience writing and making the song.
