Solstice
It lingers forevers long
The feeling, the blush
The butterflies that fluttered at every glance
You can no longer hold on
So you just let go of all the surmised thoughts & the sweet handwritten notes
There's a beauty in that of being brave & mature to move on
Of not clinging to the memory of it
It's for the greater good perchance
You feel free & believe it's all okay now
There's a void left but you let the noise around take over you
But, it all turns sombre again the minute your eyes gaze upon them
And all the stories churn up again like the coming of solstice
It's an uncanny realisation
All the past musings kick back in
As though you never really left them
Instead left yourself in a state of trance
