Let’s play pretend
let’s act as if it never happened
Let’s play pretend
just forget about it all for now
I’ll be the girl
and you be the boy
and we can have our happy ending
Just take my hand
and we can start our pretending
We’ll act it all out-the world will be our stage
I’ll be your everything-if only for today
Let’s play pretend

There’ll be no problems
there’ll be no tears
we can keep it going
on for years
The happiness will never end
Too bad it’s just pretend.

Wow, I really like your poem! I love the style that you wrote it in, with the repitition. I think it would sound great as a song:)
