When Tomorrow Starts Without You
You’re not here to see
The sun rise and find,
That my eyes are filled with these tears.
I wish for so much,
I’m thinking of many things,
I didn’t get to say.
But just know how much I love you.
Just know how much I miss you.
But when tomorrow starts without you,
I’ll try to understand.
That your place was ready
And that your time had come.
If I could relive yesterday,
Even just for a while.
I’d wrap my arms around you
And never let go.
I cry saying,
God take this back
But I realize this could never be.
For this was His plan.
Just know how much I love you.
Just know how much I miss you.
But when tomorrow starts without you,
I’ll try to understand.
That your place was ready
And that your time had come.
It was the yesterday of tomorrow
When I saw you walk through the gates
As hard as it was,
I knew that you were home
Lord I know that you are teaching me what love really is when I hear
Just know how much I love you.
Just know how much I miss you.
So when tomorrow starts without me,
don't think we are far apart,
for every time you think of me,
I'm right here, in your heart.
Just know how much I love you.
Just know how much I miss you.
But when tomorrow starts without you,
I’ll try to understand.
That your place was ready
And that your time had come.
You’re not here to see
The sun rise and find,
That my eyes are seeing a little glimpse of Heaven looking back at me
