Longing Forbidden
It's hard to know where to look
When hope is lost
It takes time to see
How great one life can cost
I've lived through the rough
And smiled through it all
Cause when the comings get tough
I know how to fall
Chorus
I have faith in what I don't have
And strength where I need it most
I know I have love
Just not sure where it goes
One warm part of time
Can balance out a little pain
It's not a crime
To feel some shame
In moments that pass
When the clock ticks away
Like breath on glass
It'll all fade away
When I watch the scars heal
When I see your okay
I'll be able to feel
The pain in your way
You'll be back to what you were
The moment we met
That perky young girl
With expectations set
I love what you had
And what you are now
Still it makes me sad
To still not know how
Chorus
I don't get all your pain
But now you are true
Life's not a game
You'll always be you
There's parts of you hidden
That I can't seem to feel
A longing forbidden
Starting to heal
I'll stay with you forever
If that's what you need
And with each other
Maybe I'll be able to see
