Troubled Eyes
They themselves say no words
The troubled eyes of the brown-eyed girl
For what they’ve been through and the things they’ve seen too
Leave an internal scar she may never see through
The laughter in her voice and the wondrous curve on her face
Can’t hide her troubled eyes and the past they embraced
The shining sparkles are several held back tears
Each sparkle representing unforgettable pain in the past years
These are the troubled eyes of the brown-eyed girl
Stories are locked tight in each jaded brown swirl
The stories she keeps bottled up for only herself
But yet the eyes look around and silently scream at everyone else
The eyes don’t talk so the stories are left to be
The troubled eyes of the brown-eyed girl are meant to be seen
