When Green Eyes Turn Grey
green eyes, black and blonde in the summer
he tries to always be there for her
and you are
oh yes you are
and you'll always be in her heart
And when she cries
you dry her eyes
see through her lies
and comfort her, oh
sweet dreams, dancing in the sunlight
he leans in close and holds her so tight
don't let go
never let go
the look on your face goes to show
that when she cries
you'll dry her eyes
see through her lies
and comfort her, oh
broken; the memory of a feeling
spoken works keep the holes from healing
turn away
she turned away
because your green eyes have turned gray
but you came back
you came right back
and we both survived the attack
and when i cry
you dry my eyes
see through my lies
and comfort me
