Trapped
A boy
A girl
Surrounded by the trees
They talk
They laugh
Sounds carried by the breeze
A look
A kiss
She has been captured
A troublesome story
With a girl in between
His trip to the forest
Was as innocent
As innocent seems
A leaf lands atop her head
As does his fist
A twig snaps beneath her feet
As does his mind
She is caught within his grasp
She is trapped amongst his rage
Amongst the browning grass
She's caught
She's trapped
Her hand
In his
The crisp air deceives her
She cries
Sweet tears
And he reaches his hands
Toward her,
Wet face
The slap echos
He was as innocent
As innocent seems
A leaf lands atop her head
As does his fist
A twig snaps beneath her feet
As does his mind
She is caught within his grasp
She is trapped amongst his rage
Amongst the browning grass
She's caught
She's trapped
A stream of anger flowing down her cheeks
As he dares to stand before her
She beckons the earth, in all its beauty
He begins the spiral, ever downward,
To his untimely confinement
She's lost half a life
With a liar, how the time went
But she has won the war
She has won the war
And now she reigns over thee
She's won a war
To be released
A leaf lands stop her head
As does his fist
A twig snaps beneath her feet
As does his mind
She frees herself from his grasp
And cuts the chain of vines
She's tearin' up the path
For she
Is no longer trapped
