Greek Ode to Frustration
Winter's over, the sun is shining
Summer's here again, it's said
But I see no silver lining
No reason to end my dread
Icarus' wings have melted
Daedalus is in tears
Why didn't you prepare me
To face your fears
But no one sees my hidden rage
A those who wronged me in a past time
But no one cares about past crimes
And they ignore the screams within the cage
I sit in my prison, counting the days
Pondering the reason why I'm here
The real crook is enjoying the sunlight's rays
But here I weep, here I stay
Feeling like Prometheus, chained to a rock
For eternity, for doing nothing wrong
I feel like I was made to be mocked
But no one hears my desperate song
(Guitar Solo)
Tracing things upon the brick wall
Must I always be alone
If you hear me call
Assure me that the seeds haven't been sown
The Moirae have all this decided
Or so I fear
Please tell me I wasn't misguided
Pleas get me out of here
