Birght Blue Eyes
If I could form the perfect rhyme
To take back malice, turn back time
To bring you here, away, with me
To break from fate, to be so free
Then oh, we'd run, we'd run so far
Somewhere pure, no violence mar
No guns, no hurt, no stolen breath
No blood, no pain, no brutal death
Till morning we would laugh and play
Grinning peaceful night away
And then, dear world, I shall not weep
For all I wanted was to keep
This little boy with bright blue eyes
Who laughed until the day he died
