Life in black and white isn't that dull
This empty town I can't handle
I need time, I need space
I need to feel the vacant breeze, away with this scandal!
Away, away, hurry, keep up the pace
You've done me no good
Your dark skies bring me misery
Cramped in a corner waiting for tomorrow
A dose of happiness is worth my composure
Please new town, trade away my sorrow
I shut my eyes with the sun lying on my face, hurry, my kingdom awaits
This city can trick your every thought
With flashing lights and used up thrones
You think you're a princess, but you're not
They suck out your soul to your aching bones
They will play with your mind, tell you it's fine
Dreams of lights and the welcoming boulevard
I never want to dwell upon the dreadful yesterday
My eyes open to the painted blue sky
I see the deserts smile
Step out on the blazing Nevada heat
Far away from here, please, let's stay a while
Painted on smiles, broken and beat
This city can trick your every thought
With flashing lights and used up thrones
You think you're a princess, but you're not
They suck out your soul to your aching bones
They will play with your mind, tell you it's fine
Remember your life, but forget now
Tonight the stars will go to shame
Stop the wheels
I want to stay where the snow never came
You can never escape your past
The sun will never run from you
Happiness, trust me, it can last
Don't run away if it's the last thing you do
In this city, happiness is hidden just as well
Your kingdom is burnt to the ground
So scream it out, yell, yell!
For it's reality that you've found
Running, you've fallen on your knees
You can never find what you're looking for like a repaired heart in a broken mirror
Oh this city, it's such a tease
