Stained Glass
This life is like a galaxy
With supernovas happening tragically
And black holes consuming viciously
Confusion is all that I see
Rocks are colliding and breaking apart
And stars are spread so far apart
Making me wonder what part
I have here, I have here
All these metaphors and similes
Are crowding my mind and I see
How desperate an action must be
To escape an evil me
All of these things that I withhold
Slowly making me old
Wearing me down and
I’m being broken right now
This life is like a town I see
Withering in deadly ecstasy
Buildings coming down
And crashing with a loud sound
This life is like the time I feel
Making things seem so surreal
And as time flashes before my eyes
So do thoughts as memories arise
All these metaphors and similes
Are crowding my mind and I see
How desperate an action must be
To escape an evil me
All of these things that I withhold
Slowly making me old
Wearing me down and
I’m being broken right now
