i found him at my window playing songs he didnt know i liked
Below the memories
Across the bitten path of distraction
Just beyond the box sitting on my window sill
Was the raging music of the internal battle of the stealthy guitar
As his sly music gingerly caresses the mask I wear to hide the bashful figure I am partial to
But the words that fold from his mouth and the unknown power he lacks to diagnose pierce me
Like those familiar songs I have grown to know
As musical shadow stands below me
And his everlasting power surrounds me
I’m the same hidden girl wearing false emotions on my sleeve
And he’s just like me
