Thorn
The rose he gave her
On their last date
Was pretty and red
In a small glass vase
It glimmered in the moonlight
That was shining down
As he held he tight
Never to let go
They walked together
'Til he left her at her door
When he said goodbye
He didn't know it was for forever more
When she got up to her room
She smelled the pretty red blood
But what they didn't know
Is that the man he bought it from
Filled it's thorns with poison
To get the job done
And when she put it in a vase
Her finger pricked a thorn
And that was the end of her
She died before the morn'
He came the next day to see her
But all he found was her momma weepin'
She said she was poisoned by a man
Who didn't understand
The love everyone had for her
Tears rolled down his face
He ran home to his place
And cried for her memory
This isn't where he wants to be
He ended it fast
So he could see her at last
He clutched her picture to his chest
Put a bullet through his head
And they lived happy forever
