It's hard to start again
It's a new step in my life
I hope I'll be ok
and I'll always remember
you helped me make it through
when I was new at school
You're a very good friend,
you were with me 'til the end
We spent so many times together
and when I felt down you made me feel better

CHORUS:

'cause you have touched
my soul
But I'll have to go
I'll never forget you
You know that this is true
I will miss you

Even with the distance
you won't be far away
'cause my heart is next to yours
and our memories will never fade
They keep us together
'cause I will remember
every time

Anyway, I loved it :) it could use a little touch up and smooth out the edges but I love it. I bet with the melody it would sound amazing!

This is good! I think you overuse some of the rhymes and lines though. It's okay to switch it up and also experiment with other types of rhyming words. It started to sound really cliche. This was a really sweet message though, but didn't seem to really go skin deep. It just stayed at face value. Since this was based on a real experience, I feel you should maybe throw in some inside jokes, or briefly mention a good moment the two of you shared. Just work on making it more unique overall. Nice work :)
