The Greener Side of Life
Another coffee, still drowsy
A man walks to the corner of south and bowly
Waiting for the walkway to say go
Soon his eyelids fall low
He falls forward with his sleepyhead
A man pulls him back, his name is Ned
Did a simple deed, Ned did that day
With out a second thought he pulled the guy away
A thoughtless move that made all the difference
There would have been a wife and kid that missed him
With the smallest of actions with intentions of the greater good
It’s the state of mind that leads to an all around great neighborhood
Treat others like you would like to be treated
Or the world will fall in the hate that is oh-so heated
Do the right thing whenever you can
And the world will be a much better land
