The Tides
Here we are at the shore
I insisted, waiting- wanting more
A nonexistent love mended at the core
Meant to be is something we never bore
Our fantasies of perfect are the chains I once wore
And now I've released them
Allowing them to remain on the floor.
Yes, the realization- freedom- made me frail
Collapsing on the floor
weak and pale
A sort of emptiness- anew- came to no avail
So I decided to raise your sail
And push you away, releasing the rail.
Alas, all is at ease
You shall be swiftly taken by the breeze
A world awaits you to travel the seas
While I'll continue digging into past memories.
So, please go away- somewhere new
Through the depths of the ocean, cold, dark, and blue
It is now not a question to ever accept you.
New ships are docking.
