As we rode in the car
On our way to the saddest of all things
Not a word being said
Just tears and fears
So I took my little notebook
And I wrote down inside

Tell me it's all a dream
Tell me this isn't true
Tell me you haven't left this world
Tell me your not up there in that big blue sky
Now if you are I'll forgive ya
But always know
I am thinking of you
And I'll never forget you
On the day you left this big old world

When we got to the barrel site
It changed our whole lives knowing that you were gone it was no dream, no hoping you'd awake.
I held my little teddy bear that you got for me when I was so young.
But I still keep it close to me when I get scared at times like this.
Sorrow and tears poured from my face down to our red roses that held in our lifeless arms
Right before they slipped the heavy black cover on.
I gently put the note i had written near you.
And it had read

It's sad that you're gone.
It makes me tear up sometimes.
But some how it still feels like your here.
It's funny that i still try to look but your never there.
We still pass by your old house sometimes.
It feels so lonely ever since you left.
But i smile with joy every time i see that piano we played, the teddy bear you gave to me,gramas old pures you saved for me,the fancy pen that spelled out my name, and the jewelry box you made for me.
With laughter i smile that I met you, you came and left foot prints on my life.
When I'm down i always remember the good times we shared, then all my fear would some how disappear

As I was going through my things I thought about you and the note i gave written to you
And all the questions that were never answered
All the things I never got to say
So I made a little poem just for you today

Even though you're far away.
I still keep you close in my heart.
To bad it wasn't all just a dream.
Yes,I know you left this world.
I know you're in that big blue sky.
I know you're watching over me.
And yes i forgive you.
I want you to know that I am thinking of you.
And I'll never forget you.
The day you left this big old world!
