Fire and Ice
It's like misery's game of hide and seek
Curl away in the dark but agony took a peek
You can try to run and you can try to hide
But pain follows close and will seep deep inside
And the suffering you feel will burn hotter than a flame
Search for the forgotten for the weak will feel the same
You can hide around corners and under the biggest stones
But the fire will spread and it will follow you home
Ice will bring happiness that will be burned in the fire
And your nostalgic heart will let the flames crawl higher
The ice will be rare and the fire will be too much
The heat will be comfort and the cold will burn to the touch
Never play hide and seek with pain and misery
For no one can escape the fire we're destined to be
