The Social Scene
You close your eyes
Like they don’t see you
You say you’re tired
Why don’t you sleep?
Though you stay high
From the social scene
And petty dreams
You’re breaking down inside
No one can hear your screams
Drowning in your desperation
You smile
Do anything to get your fix
To pay your way
So they’ll let you stay
You’re a whore and a letdown
As you lie
Just to get them to love you
They’ll leave you to die
Everyday is a breakdown
You hide your fear
Just to make them believe that
You wont ever
Shed another
Tear.
You close your eyes
Like they don’t see you
You say you’re tired
So go to sleep.
