I Made It
My whole life has been a fight
 With no sign of light
Living in a world of constant night
 I’ve been among the ashes
Of the people close to me
It left me wondering why I’m all alone

But I found my way out of that mess
 Walked out the door
 Into the light

The stage lights up when I walk out
The crowd fires up, I hear them shout
Wave my hands up in the air
 Watch them sing along
 I think I know
 I know where I belong
I made it, I made it
Here I am in the big time
 Singing words that heal minds
 No story can be tough
You can never have too much
 You think
 You think you’ve had enough
 But you’ll make it
 You’ll make it

From time to time I’ll think about
 The people from the past
 The ones I love
The ones I can’t get back
But I’ll play to them with passion
 On every single stage
 And tell myself they’re watching
 From above

And I found my way out of that mess
Through the dirt that was my life

The stage lights up when I walk out
The crowd fires up, I hear them shout
Wave my hands up in the air
 Watch them sing along
 I think I know
 I know where I belong
I made it, I made it
Here I am in the big time
 Singing words that heal minds
 No story can be tough
You can never have too much
 You think
 You think you’ve had enough
 But you’ll make it
 You’ll make it
