Hold my heart
Out in the garden where we planted the seeds,
I keep remembering the summer night
And the conversation breaking up the mood.
I hope that you see right through my walls.
Broken pieces of a barely breathing story,
Dancing slowly in an empty room.
And please don't stand so close to me,
I give you everything I am.
Does anybody know how to hold my heart?
This is a place where I don't feel alone.
Where there once was love,
You put your arms around me and I'm home.
