Christine's Song.
Hey did you hear about Abby?
She passed away last week.
She said she couldn’t take it,
She said she reached her peak.
So she took some of her parent’s pills,
And slipped into the night.
We never saw it coming,
She headed toward the light.
Ohhh Abby,
You were beautiful.
Ohhh Abby,
You were wonderful.
Why didn’t you tell us things were bad?
Why didn’t we try to see?
Why didn’t we try to understand,
To see your pains and please?
Ohhh Abby,
I hope you know you’re loved.
I hope you’re up in heaven
And in the clouds above.
The whole school mourned in silence
And many tears were shed.
Shock filled every conversation
As we tried to get inside your head.
You didn’t leave a note,
Was it an accident or planned?
Was this you giving up,
Or finally taking a stand?
Abby, don’t you understand?
We’re faced with pain each day.
It’s like giant test of god,
To see who goes and stays.
Ohhh Abby,
You were beautiful.
Ohhh Abby,
You were wonderful.
Why didn’t you tell us things were bad?
Why didn’t we try to see?
Why didn’t we try to understand,
To see your pains and please?
Ohhh Abby,
I hope you know you’re loved.
I hope you’re up in heaven
And in the clouds above.
This song goes out to a friend of mine,
Who gave her life away.
I hope she hears me singing,
And know she’s here to stay.
