Big Spender MAG
We let the winter decide for us, it packed our bags, zippered them up.
We let the cold convey our trust, and shiver at the ends.
We had the heat, it stayed inside. We warmed our hands with alibis.
Spoke only when televised, induced, or levered in.
And with the gusts of a childhood game,
Where in the same wind you'd call my name
Like in a tunnel, all I possessed
Came and forked square at my chest
In between my arms and never seen again.
There's something to say for all the time I waste, for all the spines I cracked and beds unmade.
That time you saw what I became, when we flipped that light switch down.
But honestly, with the likes of me, crawling to the far side of your apathy,
I'll never get the damn degree if we keep these games around
Feel like I'm running in figure eights
All the storefronts lower their gates
Saying “Keep that big spender away,
He's better off this way.
He bought his story now, just let him find his place.”
And with the gusts of a childhood game,

He bought his story now, just let him find his place.”
