Halifax
Vessels set on a journey far
Carrying loads to fighters afar
Wind and water, sea and harbour
Caught in Fate's Design
[Chorus]
Burn, ships of fire, sailing to fight
Dim the flames of life so bright
Hearts are bleeding, never ceasing
Pleading to Death's eternal night
Sunrise blinds the Captain's eyes
From seeing his ship's demise
Staring, waiting, disbelieving
His ship will collide
[Chorus]
Fire engulfs the ships and town
Breathing in ash, the people are doomed
Burning, bleeding, hurting, weeping
Glass falls like rain
[Chorus]
Morning breaks, survivors arise
Child and old were sacrificed
Sun's light shows ravaged bodies
Grieving through earthly skies
