Don't waste time. Start procrastinating now.

I told you that you hurt me when we had that fight.
You insisted I was guilty and that you were right.
I tried to be forgiving and take the blame,
But you’ve done this countless times and I’m sick of the shame.
Picking myself up to appease you, it’s an endless war,
But I won’t let you hurt me anymore.

Look around at this big mess you’ve made.
My tests are not too hard but you don’t make the grade.
I’ll never let you push me down again.
This is where the grief and affliction end.

“Best friends forever,” that is what you say.
But your thoughtless words and acts are standing in the way.
I try to put you first; I try to make you laugh,
But I can’t take care of others when I’m tearing in half.
You thought you pierced my heart but I just skinned my knee,
‘Cause I’ll no longer let you get to me.

Look around at this big mess you’ve made.
My tests are not too hard but you don’t make the grade.
I’ll never let you push me down again.
This is where the grief and affliction end.

I bet you thought you could bring me down.
I bet you thought you could make me drown.
But that’s not true.
I’m high above the ground.

Look around at this big mess you’ve made.
My tests are not too hard but you don’t make the grade.
Don’t try to make me fall apart.
You can’t trick me; I am far too smart.

Look around at this big mess you’ve made.
My tests are not too hard but you don’t make the grade.
I’ll never let you push me down again.
This is where the grief and affliction end.

This was pretty awesome:) I liked and I even made a rhythm in my head to match. I especially liked the rhymes you made with great vocabulary.
