People Don't See the Things that Really Matter
Living in our world is pretty crazy.
We all want things, but we aren't really sure.
Our lives are short, and we don't know what to do
 Some have it all
While others, lives are pretty empty.
 So where's the balance?

People don't see the things that really matter.
People just think buying things is better.
 It's just looks
 It's just fame
 It's just sex
 Who's to blame?
Cause people don't see the things the really matter.

Buying clothes at the store becomes a frustration.
Keeping myself thin becomes a competition.
Going to school makes me want to cry
Cause everyone judges me on what I wear and buy.
Everyone says I need to be happy
But I don't even understand what that means, because,

People don't see the thing that really matter
People just think buying things is better.
 It's just looks
 It's just fame
 It's just sex
 Who's to blame?
Cause people don't see the things the really matter.

I'll look at you and tell you now
 The things that really matter
 There's love
 There's peace
 There's hope
 There's joy
These are the thing that really matter

People don't see the things that really matter.
 They just look
 They just hear
 They just buy
Cause people don't see the things that really matter
