Sinking Anchors
I like to think,
That it's not this anchor,
Causing me to sink.
But, it's really how I go,
As I'm haunted by things that I don't know.
So, I'll go.
Out to find the sun in the moonlight.
I know it's hopeless but I won't give up the fight.
It's harder than it seems, and I know that it's right.
I don't know my future, but I can't bear the sight.
I'm not sure what it is that makes me feel,
Like none of this can ever be real.
I look up and it all seems bright,
The stars shine my way tonight.
We'll make our way,
With all our might,
It'll be okay for me to stay.
My thoughts are like a sinking ship,
They're taking me down with them.
and Sometimes I like to think,
That it's not all of this that's causing me to sink.
That it's not really so,
That I'm haunted by things that I don't know.
So I'll go out to sea.
Just to find me.
Rather I sink, I don't know.
It won't matter, how far I can go.
As I'll sink.
Farther down, I'll go.
Discovering things,
That I don't know,
and I'll make my way,
I'll make my way, tonight.
