Hold On
I long to feel again
I long to know what happiness is
I've tried so hard to kill the pain
But never succeed in the end
I know there’s a time where I once felt
That I was strong
One day
I’ll feel happiness
And know where I belong
But until then
I’ll continue
Trying to hold on
To the reality I have left
I’ll try going with the flow
I won’t be what I’m against
I’ll look deep with my soul
To find the pieces of myself
And for now
I’ll just hold on
No longer will I be the victim
Of my own crime
I’ll take the consequences of my actions
I’ll do my time
I finally know what a smile feels like
I know what love is
But I’m slipping back into my depression
I feel sorrow’s cold kiss
I’m trying to hold on
To the reality I have left
I’ll try going with the flow
I won’t be what I’m against
I’ll look deep within my soul
To find the pieces of myself
But until I’m strong
I’ll just hold on
And then I’ll let go
For the sorrow that’s come over me is too strong
For the pain is unbearable
And the urge is just calling me
If you give me the lithium
I’ll make it all go away
I’ll take just enough
To ease my pain
And then I’ll hold on
To the reality I have left
I will go with the flow
I won’t be what I’m against
I’ll look deep within my soul
To find the pieces of myself
No longer will I relapse on sorrow’s hold
I now know my strength
So I won’t have to hold on any longer
For I've found my…happiness
