Cutting Of Our Dreams
See that snow melting far away
The trees are bare and away with it
And everything we've ever known
Has gone away with a story told.
So many children used to playin'
Have come to saying
Let Us Be Free
But all those schools with all the rules
Have cut away out creativity.
Hills don't matter; mountains do
As big obstacles, the often do
But we have made it past
By living and hoping and praying
And not cutting away our dreams.
We may have lost our dime
But, baby, tell me if its a crime
To sing and dance as a free beings
And its as clear as black and white
That we the people
We as all the people
Deserve our own Rights
Hills don't matter; mountains do
As big obstacles, the often do
But we have made it past
By living and hoping and praying
And not cutting away our dreams.
All of them, they're on their knees
Begging, begging for pleas of merct
For they had not been
Living, praying, hoping
Praying For A New Day
Hoping, Hoping For Good
And Living, Living Like They Were Young
But instead cutting away their dreams
