-War-
(Verse 1)
I hear laughter and then I hear cries
Some speak of truth when they only speak lies
I feel comfort and then I feel pain
I work hard to find it was all in vain
Some want to excite when they only bore
Some talk of peace when they really want war
And even though the greatest war has already been won
For many the battle has just begun

 (Verse 2)
I know sometimes there’s sunlight in the rain
But I can’t help crying for those in chains
And hardly anyone’s doing anything at all
While those chains lash out and the innocent fall
I have to learn that I don’t write this tale
And that the most detailed of plans will always fail
And the surest tale is told through the Sword
It’s our primary weapon in this war

 (Verse 3)
When will the climax come? Only time will tell
And we’ll shout the victory that we know so well
Then all this evil won’t even be a memory
Nothing but love after our reckoning
This one thought is what pushes me through
For what’s more beautiful than this promised truth?
In all this ugliness, what could we want more?
Savior, I take your hand as you guide me through this war
