We Are Young
“Give me a second I, I need to get my story straight”
Soft murmur of the drums fills the car.
The dial spins like a spinning top.
My hands and hair out the window dancing with the wind.
"Tonight we are young, so let's set the world on fire"
A smile emerges to my face when
gym class, learning polish, making videos,
and playing tennis race through my mind.
I was on top of the world,
no one could bring me down.
"So if by the time the bar closes and you feel like falling down"
As days go by,
Summer suddenly comes to an end
"I'll carry you home tonight"
