When He Leaves
He has to leave but you
never want him to go.
You say good bye and
I love you real slow.
You want to make the moment
last for as long as you can.
You look in his eyes and
caress his smooth hand.
He whispers something soft
and slow into your ear.
When you realize what he said,
you find him wiping away a tear.
It hurts him just as bad
as it does you.
You tell him that you feel the
same way but that's all you can do
You both stand there like fools
as if no one can see.
From what he told you that
night, it's hard to see him leave.
