Stolen Thoughts
Thought it could be
Back to normal again
To sleepless nights and love without end
Thought every part of me
I gave to you was given
Now I see, I was just property
Thought it was his right
To take what I have
And say what he’s said
Thought I was his
But in the sense that
He was never mine to have
Though after all I was lead blind
A broken girl with nothing
But a shattered mind
Though after all I could not leave
Not after I had given him
Every piece of me
Thought I had the choice
But before I knew it
The forgiveness was no longer mine to give
He just assumed what he had done
What he had said was all okay
That is when I thought
Who am I, Anyways?
