Life Can be a Nightmare
Daddy’s out of town, and when I look around there’s a whole lot going on.
And when I go to bed, and I lay down my head, I dream not once at all.
‘Cause I see shadow’s in the dark, the wind’s howling at my window,
Then I hear my own voice sayin’ : I can’t take anymore.
And I listen to myself, and it doesn’t seem like it’s comin’ from me
But I’d know my own voice anywhere
And I know that someone is here but I just can’t seem to wake up
from my nightmare
Oh, Life can be a nightmare.
Oh, When I do wake up, I feel I’ve had enough,
I forget the ones I love
And then I look around, and I don’t hear a sound.
I know that no one’s there
But it’s too quiet
And I lay my head down on my pillow.
I see shadows in the dark, the wind’s howling at my window,
Demons in my head but I just can’t seem to find out why
I’ve been so delusional and my head is filled
with nightmares
Oh, life can be a nightmare.
