I Miss Us
Such music hits me hard,
Each time unlike the last,
All the sounds,
They remind me of the past.
It's hard to forget,
Such a perfect day,
Even when I sang to you,
You were the one to take my breathe away.
And though those days are over,
I often wish they were never done,
Cause the you're the only one I remember,
You're the only one.
The way we are now,
It is not as it should,
For it was always me,
Right beside you, I stood.
It should never have ended,
Words I never wanted to hear,
Cause we were both happy then,
Now I just miss you, dear.
Perhaps the future brings us,
Togetherness anew,
Cause nothing makes me smile more,
Than the simple thought of you.
