Bad Things Happen To Good People
We’re the unlucky ones,
the ones beaten and tattered.
Staring down the barrel of a gun,
Nothing else ever mattered.
Torn to pieces.
Wasting away.
All I needed,
was for one person to say…
Wipe your eyes,
and put on a brave face.
‘Cause tomorrow is a different day.
Bad things happen,
but you’ll be okay.
There’s a light at the end of the tunnel.
I know you’ll make it someday.
Gave it my all,
but it was never enough.
Might have been easier
just to give up.
But now I’m stuck,
and I have nowhere to turn.
Broken and shattered.
Decomposed and decayed.
All I ever wanted,
was for someone to say…
Wipe your eyes,
and put on a brave face.
‘Cause tomorrow is a different day.
Bad things happen,
but you’ll be okay.
There’s a light at the end of the tunnel.
I know you’ll make it someday.
We’re the unlucky ones,
the ones beaten and tattered.
All we need is someone
to save us from disaster.
