Carefree
This is a time
Not a age
Where I'm with you
So we can both live carefree
No one knows where we are
Are we official
No one would care
We're just having fun
Being carefree
And we'll run through puddles
To splash all the boring old people
I can't wait to
Open that brand new bottle of
Beer
And we'll keep the caps because they look cool
I want to be in a movie
Let's pretend he's a spy
You'll protect me
And I'll be the brains
And we play monopoly
Past midnight
Then how about a movie
Only ones in theatre
It’s a time
Not an age
Where care falls to whim
I could be 18 or infinity
We go skinny dipping
And take walks at midnight
But no one knows where we are
And that’s a good thing
Spring goes to summer
Summer goes to fall
Fall goes to winter
Time of cuddles and ice skating hand in hand
And one day
Waking up to music and floating dreams
I realize
That life is never carefree
And this love is beginning to be
Careless
But we'll ignore the signs
Because we are so carefree
And one day
If this ends
We both know
What we'll say
I don’t care
It will be a time without you
Where I learn that I must be
Carefree
