Renewed
Here's a story
I've never told
I'm really hoping
It won't get too old
It's how my life
Has been changed
Flipped right over
And here it starts
With me falling under
Little truth
So much pain
I lay here
So ashamed
Always used
And confused
You broke me
I'm bruised
I go through life all day
Living it the wrong way
Not knowing God's right there
Beside me always working
Dwelling on the bad
And closed eyes on the perfect
But one day I was told
Lauren you are worth it
There was little truth
So much pain
I laid there
So ashamed
Always used
And confused
You broke me
I'm bruised
Now I know a God
Who loves me so
He sent His son
To die so slow
The way He treats me
I feel so much emotion
The way He never leaves
He gives me full devotion
They've always told me
To take off and fly
I'll never know His love
Until I try
Now there's always truth
Little pain
I lay here
Never blamed
Not accused
Or abused
He fixed me
I'm renewed
I'm not bruised
I'm not used
Because I'm
Renewed

This is a song I wrote when I felt like a person was pulling me away from God. I believe in having a strong relationship with God, and sometimes people enter our lives and distract us from what's really important.
