Chapter Three: Home
Upon Arrival my heart stopped beating
Because the glory before me was bleeding
My heart, molded like clay into a timeless clock, is now rendered to never
Stop
An oppression lays heavy like a blanket made of lead
Since before time my soul has longed for this
A place to lay my head
A place nailed with a kiss
One can’t help but smile here
For in this place they damn all fear
The eyes of this town shed reverence
Oh, how could my heart be so dense?
How can I hold it within my clenched fist?
Not one ounce of this place could tolerate the rain
For here there is no sign of that pain
For here there lies a blood red stain
Dare I be pried from this heavenly atmosphere?
All light shines from this point forward
Creating every entity to ever walk the ground
If there be a choice
Let my heart then rejoice
Because I would reside here
Amongst the calm and clear
Where in his presence I call out fear
Not even the citizens of the rain
Can abstain from this infectious place
Melt my heart
“As you hold me together and tear me apart” (Silent Planet)
And keep me from denying your face of love
Because in this place death no longer rains from above.
