Oh he, the merry-hearted one
That dons a cloak of night
He who laughs at moon and sun
Cares not for wrong or right

Oh who can say where he is from
Or where he's travelin' to
All we know about the bum
Is he's a somethin' new

Oh none have seen his like before
We'll not see it again
Now you take care not to ignore
This gift, this god of men

Oh he is a true Miracle
A wondrous design
For he has not a care-acle
As he commits his crimes

A thief is what they say he is
That fact we'll not dispute
And none could tell what he'd do next
When they turned him to soot

Oh the King, the mighty King
His men the good King sent
They bribed a peasant with a ring
That man now repents

That man, the peasant sold him out
And they took him to jail
They hung him and beheaded him
Hung his head upon a nail

Next they took his body
And got it all burned up in ash
Then they boiled up the rest
All gone in a poisonous hash

No more was our Miracle
Our man the magic god
And we acknowledged his passing
With a sad and sorry nod

But oh, lo and behold this sight
Twas him upon the street
And still he wore his cloak of night
Not tryin' to be discreet

For the first time ever
This man did show himself
He let us see he was alive
Alive and in good health

Now King, you see our Miracle
Never can he die
To get revenge, he stole the Prince
And caused the Queen to cry

Oh he's not been seen ever since
The King, he wants him back
But the man disappeared with the Prince
And we watched the kingdom crack.

Now half of them, they laugh and say
Our Miracle's not real
And yet they can't deny the day
The Prince the man did steal.
