A Monster Calls
Somewhere in the darkness a monster calls my name
Somewhere in corruption I'm the one they blame
I try to rise above it all but always seem to slip and fall
hands on my ankles pulling me down
Help me I'm running in the dark
I can't see where I'm going, can't feel the beating of my heart
Peace is the only thing I desire, but the light at the end of the my tunnel is hellfire
Can you change predestination?
Or has the devil already made his claim?
I try to resist But somewhere in the darkness
A monster calls my name
How come in this big world I can't find a place to hide
How come all these shadows never leave my side
I try to do the best I can but nothing ever goes as planed
Disaster follows me wherever I go
Chorus
The dam breaks walls come crashing down the nightmares I've contained swallow entire towns
Will they scream when they look at me
Find what's underneath
What I won't let them see
What I try not to be
The monster that is me
Chorus
I hear it whispering at night
A monster calls my name
It fills my weakening soul with fright
A monster calls my name
This is not what I wanted to become
A monster calls my name
But this nightmares already begun
