Broken Girl
A broken girl her mama told her about the world
She wondered why her dad was gone
And why had he kept his son
She’s too young to date a man
But don’t worry she understands
Her heart's been broken many times
It’s ok she is always fine
No Father figure ever there
Her mom dated but don’t you dare
Call one of them her dad
It just makes her sad
She looks up to the stars at night
Thinking of little girls and there
Daddy's holding them tight
A memory she’ll never have
She had no clue
Nothing a broken girl can do?
Daughters daddy’s are supposed to stay
Never leave never go away
Why was she left here this way?
But what’s a broken girl supposed to do?
Protect her from the world she see’s
Not a never heard of me
Brothers are something she has never had
and for that she can thank her dad
Marriage is a girl's big dream
Walk down the aisle
making everyone beam
Her Father there holding her arm
Wedding bells are just alarms
She forgives and she forgets
Only sometimes is she upset
She had no clue
Nothing a broken girl can do?
